Rebuilding a Damaged Tooth

A cracked, worn or root-treated tooth can usually be kept. What it needs depends on how much healthy tooth is left, and the aim is always to remove as little more of it as possible.

Our Beverly Hills office at 414 N. Camden Dr., Suite 750 opens in January 2027. Until then, call (310) 444-5217 and we'll arrange your consultation.

It depends on how much tooth is left

The amount of sound tooth remaining — above all the collar of tooth around the base, the ferrule — decides what a tooth can carry. With enough of it, a bonded onlay may be all that is needed; with less, a crown; with very little, a post may be needed to hold the core.
